Viruderm Ointment 5%

Viruderm ointment is indicated for the treatment of herpes simplex virus
infections of the lips and face (recurrent herpes labialis) in patient with normal immune response.
Special precaution for use:
External use only.
Only be used on cold sores on the lips and face.
Contact with eyes should be avoided.

White to off-white cream containing 2%w/w acyclovir.

Viruderm ointment should be applied on infected area topically five times daily at approximately 4 hours interval (night time application should be avoided).
Treatment should be continued for 5 days. If the infection is not cured,
treatment can be continued for 5 days more. Do not use more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.

No special conditions for storage.
This medicine should not be used after the expiry date indicated on the container.
