Virupos® Eye Ointment 30mg/g 消炎眼膏

Virupos inhibits the reproduction of certain viruses.
Virupos is used with keratitis caused by Herpes simplex virus.

The active substance is aciclovir (30 mg/g eye ointment).
The only other ingredient is white petrolatum.

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is 1 cm string of eye ointment (corresponds to approximately 31 mg of ointment) 5 times daily into the conjunctival sac. Use Virupos about every four hours during the day. The duration of treatment should be determined by the treating physician. After healing of the cornea the treatment should be continued for at least three days. Please keep this time period even if you already feel better.
Eye ointments should always be used avoiding a contact of the tip of the tube with the eye or skin. Remove the cap, tilt your head slightly back, retract the lower eye lid slightly from the eye and apply a strip of eye ointment into the conjunctival sac by gently squeezing the tube. Slowly close your eye. After the use, the tube should be closed carefully.
Please consult your physician if you have the impression that the effect of Virupos is too strong or too weak.
Use in children
There is no experience with children.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and folding carton after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not store above 25 °C.
Advice on stability after opening: With proper care Virupos can be used up to 4 weeks after first opening.
